With the encouragement of a dear friend. We met on Mondays at the community center inn Lakewood Park.
The first medium used was oil. I have since used acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, and pen & ink. I have taken classes at Rogers State College inn Pryor, OK; Indian River State College; and with local artist, Bess Hays. I have worked on my own for several years with input from other artists and friends.
Currently, I serve as secretary and studio docent for the Treasure Coast Art Association at the Center for Creativity.
I have art work in private collections in Austin, Texas; Fort Pierce Florida; and Upstate New York.
A commissioned portrait of grandchildren was completed in May 2013 and I am currently working on a watercolor landscape commissioned by a friend.
